About Us
The Buck Institute is an independent, non-profit organization located on 488 acres in the foothills of Mount Burdell in Marin County. We were a pioneer in research on aging, and now we're a global leader in the field. Opened in 1999, we are the world's only research institution singularly focused on the biology of aging, yielding insights in age-related diseases before they start. We hire scientists from around the world, in a variety of disciplines, to attack the problem from all sides because the answers we're after won't come from a single field and will require a global effort. To enhance our process, we worked with world-renowned architect I.M. Pei to create a campus that literally would not allow our researchers to work in silos. Our cutting-edge technologies support the Institute's goals and put the newest capabilities in the hands of our scientists. Please visit our website at https://www.buckinstitute.org Buck Institute for Research on Aging is an equal opportunity employer. Buck Institute seeks candidates whose experience and qualifications will enable them to contribute to our dedication to diversity and excellence. We are committed to building an organization that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills. We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs. Living better longer together.
