Internal Number: 2860 Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) or designee, the Program Eligibility Coordinator is responsible for the eligibility assessment and funding processing initial and returning students for EOF. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Interview prospective students to evaluate and document student eligibility for EOF funding. 2. Facilitate financial aid processing with students. 3. Conduct State EOF certification processes for students. 4. Interface with NJ HESSA staff and NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education EOF staff to assure accurate processing. 5. Assist with program promotion and publicity, such as conducting EOF presentations to groups, reaching out to new students through email, phone, and texting. 6. Prepare, schedule and host EOF Orientation Sessions. 7. Confer with EOF Counselors and other staff on students. 8. Assist with departmental financial and annual and other reports. 9. Provide technical and other information to students and staff. 10. Collaborate with departments within the college, community organizations and outside agencies to recruit new students. 11. Coordinate program activities with other departmental services. 12. Maintain relevant data in accordance with program requirements and college regulations. 13. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of student and staff records. 14. Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required. 15. Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Experience: 1. Bachelor's Degree. 2. Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and organize activities. 3. Prior experience in college support programs 4. Working knowledge of the personal computer, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Google Docs. 5. Excellent interpersonal skills. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 7. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience: 1. Bachelor's Degree in a related area. 2. Two or more year's experience in student support and/or research at a college level. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of financial aid programs and procedures. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized record maintenance and management, preferably the Banner system. Preferred Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree
