Position Overview:
The Department of Information Systems, Analytics and Supply Chain Management at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor for the Fall 2023 beginning September 6th, 2023. This position is to teach the following class:
- MSD 105 (Quantitative Methods for Business) meets every
TTH 4:30PM-6:00 PM with a starting day of September 6th, 2023
MSD 105 Course Description:
The aim of this introductory course is to acquaint students with a number of basic mathematical techniques that will enhance their ability to become effective decision-makers in a realistic business environment. Topics covered include linear equations and inequalities, linear programming, summation notation, geometric series, counting techniques, event probability and discrete random variables. Where appropriate, these tools will be illustrated with examples chosen from business settings.
Position Requirements:
A Master's or advanced degree, and/or equivalent degree/credentials in Statistics, Management Sciences, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field is required. Demonstrated prior teaching experience of in Statistics, Management Sciences, or Business Analytics, and related courses at either the undergraduate or graduate level is required.
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Strong industry experiences in relevant fields and/ or a PhD are a plus.
