Postdoctoral Position in Landscape Ecology and Carbon Mapping using UAV-LiDAR Data
Princeton UniversityThe High Meadows Environmental Institute at Princeton University seeks a postdoctoral or more senior research associate to work with Professor Robert Pringle, Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, at Princeton University on the determinants and dynamics of carbon storage in African savannas. The research will use high-resolution Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and field data to quantify vegetation structure, carbon density, and their variation across natural and experimental gradients of wildlife abundance, fire frequency, and other environmental factors in Mozambique's Gorongosa National Park. LiDAR data will be collected through unoccupied aerial vehicle (UAV) surveys, in collaboration with Andrew Davies at Harvard University. The
