Swarthmore College invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Music to begin in Fall 2023. The successful candidate will direct two vocal ensembles (Chorus and Garnet Singers) continuously throughout the academic year, teach one academic course (Music 002B: Reading and Making Music: The Basics of Notation), and fulfill additional academic or organizational responsibility for the music program (either an additional course or administrative responsibilities). The Swarthmore Chorus is a mixed-voice ensemble comprising approximately 75 students, faculty, staff, and community members. The Garnet Singers is a select (auditioned), mixed-voice ensemble composed of approximately 24 students. This is an initial one-year renewable appointment.
